Wrenetha Julion

Wrenetha Julion, a nurse with over 40 years of experience, co-led the development of CPP. Throughout her clinical career, Julion focused on providing care for infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and promoting the wellbeing of mothers and newborns. She dedicated herself to strengthening families residing in diverse and marginalized communities. Her research in supporting parents led her to focus on the importance of intentionally including fathers in culturally and contextually relevant parenting research. Leading the development of the Building Bridges to Fatherhood Program, Julion, alongside her Co-PI Dr. Paul Florsheim, is currently engaged in testing a model of Father Inclusive Prenatal Care in outpatient prenatal settings. Currently, Julion is the Michelle & Larry Goodman MD Endowed Professor for Health Equity and the Associate Dean for Equity & Inclusion at Rush University.
